Chazen is currently providing civil engineering design services for the proposed Heritage Walk – Residential Community, a neo-traditional development project overlooking the Ryall Springs Branch Creek in the City of Chattanooga. The project consists of 200 units of housing, a community center and a variety of recreational amenities. Chazen’s engineers, landscape architects, and planners have worked closely together to foster a design that meets both City, County and owner expectations for this unique development project.

Black Creek Residential and Golf Community

男朋为什么在被窝里吃我的胸Formally known as Cummings Cove Community, Black Creek is a master-planned community combining traditional architecture and mountain views with beautifully landscaped streets and sidewalks. Homeowners enjoy all the luxuries of a master-planned community including nature trials for walking and biking, picnic areas, dog park, and Sports Complex. The Sports Complex hosts a playground, basketball court, junior soccer field, volleyball and pavilions with grilling stations.

In addition to providing detailed site development/civil engineering plans for numerous neighborhoods within this unique community, Chazen prepared a master plan for approximately 1,500-acres along the ridge of Aetna Mountain consisting of 1,000-units of housing, 20,000 square feet of commercial and office development, an inn, a civic building and a variety of recreational amenities. In addition, Chazen provided detailed civil and geotechnical engineering design for a new 10,000 linear foot boulevard roadway that will directly connection this new “top of mountain” community to Black Creek.

Hudson Valley Wine Village

Chazen provided all planning, engineering and landscape architectural services associated with the design and permitting of the redevelopment of the Hudson Valley Winery property in the Town of Lloyd. The 389+ acre property will be redeveloped as a mixed-use residential development consisting of single family homes, townhouses, and low-rise apartments as well as approximately 50 acres of commercial and industrial space and 53 acres of open parkland. The developers are investigating many low-impact design elements with Chazen to build a more green community.

Private Residence

Chazen provided structural engineering services for a new 2,400-square foot private residence. Chazen was retained by Tallman Koch, an architectural firm specializing in a unique style of construction coined IT HOUSE. The IT HOUSE concept utilizes aluminum frame sections to create the shell of the building. The aluminum frame also serve as the primary load resisting elements of the structural system. Chazen provided structural design and construction documents for the structural framing and foundation system.

Carvel Property Master Plan Development

男朋为什么在被窝里吃我的胸The Carvel Property is a 2,220-acre golf, second home, and pre-retirement community. Chazen provided civil, environmental and geotechnical engineering services as well as wetlands and hydrogeological evaluations. The property is a master planned community complex incorporating recreational amenities, community facilities and a range of residential housing types designed, developed, and operated with sensitivity to environmental resources and keeping with the character of the area and local community.

男朋为什么在被窝里吃我的胸The previous Carvel Golf Course was redesigned and expanded into 27-holes and accompanied by new golf clubhouse facilities. Other amenities included a Homeowner’s Clubhouse with spa facilities, swimming, tennis, field sports, and a health and fitness center; a lakefront activity area complete with picnic areas, fishing and non-motorized boating opportunities; and extensive nature trails. A variety of housing configurations were created to the various lifestyles with architectural themes compatible with the natural setting of the site and consistent with the character of the local communities. Services also included on-site central water and sewer system, drainage facilities and extensive natural resource conservation, protection, and enhancement programs.

Awosting Reserve Residential Community

Chazen provided an array of services for the Awosting Reserve project in Gardiner. The project is a conservation based residential community on 2,700 acres and includes amenities such as an 18-hole golf course, club house, swimming beach, pool, tennis courts, outing club, trails, sports fields and picnic areas.

Chazen was responsible for geotechnical investigations, hydrologic evaluations, stormwater management system design, water supply/distribution design, road and building site development design, erosion and sedimentation control, wastewater collection, disposal system design, visual assessment and modeling.

Sailor’s Cove

Chazen provided design and environmental review services for the Sailor’s Cove mixed-use development project on the City of Kingston’s Hudson River waterfront. The project consists of 350 units of housing, 200,000 square feet of commercial/office development spaces, a marina, and a variety of recreational amenities, including a waterfront trail and boat docks in a neo-traditional neighborhood development approach. The waterfront development includes remediation and redevelopment of a former brickyard manufacturing plant.

男朋为什么在被窝里吃我的胸OPWDD requested that The Dormitory Authority of State of New York (DASNY) complete an initial feasibility assessment and subsequent detailed design documents for two new eight-bed healthcare units located in the Town of Wassaic and another eight-bed healthcare module in the Town of Rochester.

Chazen worked closely with the project architect to refine site related components by completing subsurface soil investigations, detailed site layout, grading and septic system design and landscape design. Chazen also completed a limited sanitary sewer and water supply assessment along with conceptual site layout, grading and drainage plans.

Silo Ridge Residential Golf Community

Chazen provided full SEQR planning, engineering, water and wastewater, landscape architecture, ecological, traffic, permitting and survey services for the conversion of Silo Ridge Golf Course into a Golf Resort Community on 670 acres of rolling land. The design incorporates a resort hotel under condominium ownership, a mix of residential unit types, and limited ground floor commercial/retail space organized around a spacious green that is evocative of a New England commons. The project included 41-single family homes, 19-golf villas, 300-hotel condominium units, and 299-townhomes and condominium units as well as a five-star restaurant, a conference center with meeting and banquet facilities, a spa and fitness center, a golf club house for members, a small winery, indoor and outdoor pools and indoor tennis facilities. Design sensitivity toward the natural features allows for more than 80% of the site to be preserved as green open space.

46th and Utah Mixed-Use Development

Chazen and a diverse team of consultants worked together to prepare the necessary applications and construction documents for the residential and commercial development located in the Sylvan Park section of Nashville. Chazen advanced this project through the City of Nashville’s Specific Plan (SP) and subdivision process.

This particular project complied with historic and re-development guidelines to qualify for retail and commercial parking reductions. Chazen secured planning, public works, water, sewer, and stormwater permits for the project, as well as provided construction administration throughout the construction process. Chazen designed and incorporated space sensitive green “low impact development” practices to satisfy Nashville’s new stormwater requirements while also meeting the developer’s aesthetic vision for the project.
