U.S. Pipe and Wheland Foundry Redevelopment
男朋为什么在被窝里吃我的胸A comprehensive Master Plan was created for the redevelopment of an industrial property known as the US Pipe and Wheland Foundry which encompasses approximately 131 acres. Based on sustainable development principles, the plan outlined a mixed-use development which established an urban design framework with blocks, streets, parking, open space and both commercial and residential uses. Located midway along the Tennessee River between the two most visited attractions in Chattanooga; the Downtown Aquarium and Lookout Mountain, the development became an anchor for the revitalization of south Chattanooga and created a new gateway to the city.
男朋为什么在被窝里吃我的胸The Master Plan provided the framework for development programs, sustainability ideas and key initiative areas all under a master planning umbrella. Keeping with the developments vision statement and to the overall Master Plan, the owners continued to plan the next phase of planning to understand/discover the infrastructure required to support the development.
To plan for future development, an in depth understanding of both public and private infrastructure was needed so the necessary updates and planning could be coordinated to facilitate and support new development. Chazen, in collaboration with other project consultants, completed numerous field reconnaissance studies, public records research, and reviews of information provided by the City of Chattanooga, Hamilton County, Tennessee Department of Transportation, Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation and Tennessee American Water. With the results of the infrastructure assessment in hand, Chazen coordinated and collaborated with the design team to provide master planning services and support for the overall redevelopment project.
